The Office of Student Affairs requires student organizations to plan their events at least 14 business days in advance. Please submit your proposal to the Office of Student Affairs for final approval. Important: You cannot invite any speakers until the Event Proposal process is complete and you have received approval from the Office of Student Affairs. Event approvals will be processed within 2 business days of submission.

Do not continue filling out this form if any of the following apply to your event and you have not completed them:

• If your event is career-related, contact the Career Development Office at careerdv@law.umaryland.edu for approval before proceeding.
• If you plan to invite alumni, dignitaries, judges, or elected officials, you must reach out to Andrew Altshuler, Deputy Director of Development, at aaltshuler@law.umaryland.edu for approval and guidance.
